The Three Travelers by Nicole Pickens
Three travelers journey on life’s road of love, justice and redemption. A young man stumbled upon a haunted tree on a wayside rural road whose tormented ghosts plea for his assistance. A little girl invited a traveler to her home to meet her family with some unusual results. A soul accepted the gift to move among the living from sunset to sunrise. He tries to alter the circumstance of his loved ones but time is never enough.
Where do you like to write (office, coffee shop, etc..)?
I usually write at home. I find other locations can be very distracting.
Do you like to listen to music while you write? If so what did you listen to while writing The Three Travelors?
Rarely, do I listen to music while writing. If I do have music on it is likely classical.
Out of all the stories you’ve written what character would you like to spend the day with and what would you do?
I have a tie between Buddy and Yeshua. I think I would like to learn how to be a rainbow. Both characters seem to know how to that.
Can you give us any clues on upcoming projects?
I’m working on a novel about a secret resident in a southern swamp.
Who is your biggest cheerleader?
I don’t have any cheerleaders. No one understands me. Boohoo.
Are you a linear writer or do you jump all over?
Both. It depends on who has the muse reigns. I never know.
What one word best described you?
Only one? Well . . . maybe . . . umm . . . I don’t know.
Can you give us three tips for newbie writers?
Tip #1, relax. Enjoy the journey because it is a journey for you as well as the reader. Embrace that. Tip #2, Don’t be too hard on yourself. Some days will be easy and others intense. If you need to put the pen down then do that. Tip #3, Write it your way, not someone else’s. It’s your story.
